A true friendship is a treasure. It’s important for our teenagers to develop healthy friendships with other Christian teens—but they also need friends who haven’t yet begun a relationship with Jesus.

How can you let your friends know you desperately want them to meet Jesus—without it being awkward? An easy idea is to invite them to an appropriate setting within your youth ministry where they will feel welcome and accepted. Everyone loves being invited to fun, exciting places. Matthew—one of the first disciples in the New Testament—is a great example of someone who understood this idea and created an opportunity to introduce his friends to Jesus.
